Parts of the Human Nose | Learn the Human Nose
The nose is an interesting part of the facial structure. The nose is divided into two parts, which include the nasal cavity and the external structure. The nasal cavity comprises of many features. Its crucial function is to gather the smell in the epithelium olfactory and then transmit it to the brain which recognizes the smell.
The nose consists of two types of palates: hard and soft, both of which are important in separating the oral cavity and the nasal cavity. The Septum helps to divide the nasal cavity and the cartilage. The nasal cavity also features Sphenoidal air sinus and Frontal air sinus.
The External structure has the nasal bone, which runs from the top to the center of the nose. The wall that divides the two nostrils is known as Septal cartilage and is one of the External structures. The lateral nasal cartilage connects with the Septal cartilage. The plates of the cartilage are separated by the fibro-fatty tissues.
The external structure and nasal cavity together make up the bone structure and aid in the process of helping you recognizing smell. The nostril is also an external structure that helps to take in the air you breathe and let out the toxins. With that in mind a Nose Huggie can straighten and reduce the size of your nose making it even more functionable.
